1st Week of Advent

Good afternoon everyone,

Yesterday marked the beginning of Advent and a new year in our church calendar.  Today we had a gathering to light the first candle in the Advent Wreath.

This morning we also had two visitors to the school. Ms. Ashton, a math learning partner at the school board, spent first block with us and did some fun math activities.  Dr. Hodgson-Drysdale, from the University of Ottawa, was here with us second block to see Miss Perkins in action.  Students had a great morning!

There is no homework today, unless of course students practise on XtraMath.

What is that saying, 'Good things come to those who wait'?  Well, our blog is finally up and running for the 2016-2017 school year.

You will find information about what is happening in Grade 6, as well as in the Grade 5/6 extended French.  As well, if you click on the homework tab, you can find what has been assigned for homework.  It is still the students' responsibility to copy homework into the agenda, but the blog can act as a safety net for those who 'forget' their agenda at school!
